In the Sakar mountain region, close to the Turkish border, are some of the remotest villages in the south of Bulgaria. I created portraiture style images documenting people and how they live in these near abandoned villages.

This lovely lady lives remote with her husband (featured below) the image was in the spring time. Lambing season was upon her, in the image she is wearing a sling from a shoulder injury during lambing.
